Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes Church, located across the street from our hotel, was built between 1534 and 1539. Its baroque style distinguishes it as one of the most important buildings of colonial times. This church was burnt and destroyed by pirates in the 17th century and later restored by Esteban Sandino.
The three-story tower holds the bells and a wonderful ¨mirador¨, which offers the best view of Granada.
